A Manhattan meets a Sazerac in this 3rd installation of our series dedicated to our friend’s experience renovating her ONLY bathroom. “The No Show” is a well balanced Manhattan where the Julep bitters heighten the usual minty essence of the rye while keeping the sweet vermouth from carrying the drink away. The absinthe is a great aromatic touch and the light anise flavor it brings to the cocktail is welcome and not overpowering.
